Let’s talk about one of my favorite, it-girl French handbag brands that’s quietly captured the hearts of fashion insiders around the world, RSVP Paris.
My introduction to RSVP Paris happened a little over a year ago, and let’s just say it was love at first sight. I’ve had the pleasure of owning multiple bags from their line, and can easily say they are one of my most reached for bags in my closet.
I ended up choosing three of their most popular styles that I felt would fit my everyday wardrobe. I went with the Golden Eyes, the Munchkin Bag, and the Batman Tote, each with their own unique characteristics.
In this post, I’ll walk you through my honest thoughts on all three RSVP Paris bags, everything from quality and function to fit and first impressions. While these bags were generously gifted, this post is not sponsored in any way. As always, all thoughts and opinions are completely my own.

First Impressions: What to Expect from RSVP Paris
Before diving into the bags, I’d like to share a quick overview on RSVP Paris as a brand. Designed in Paris and crafted in Italy, RSVP Paris—short for “Répondez S’il Vous Plaît”— which translates to “Respond, please” is a nod to exclusivity. Each design is produced in limited editions of just 500 pieces, encouraging you to say yes before it’s gone.
I find that brands I gravitate toward always have some sort of defining characteristic which sets them apart. For RSVP Paris, it is their two defining gold buttons which almost look like “eyes” on their bags. I find it incredibly cute and chic.
One detail worth noting: RSVP bags don’t come with protective feet at the base, so the leather sits directly on whatever surface you place it on. This is defining, intentional design choice by RSVP. Instead, they emboss their logo on the bottom, which personally I find to be a chic, clever branding moment.

Their price point sits somewhere between high-end high street and entry-level designer, so anywhere from $350 to $650+ depending on the size and style. Packaging is minimal but elegant, and shipping from France to the U.S. took just under 3 days.
If you’re someone who loves labels like A.P.C., The Row, or Lemaire, but want something a little less common and fairly priced for quality, RSVP Paris might be your next obsession.
Style #1: The Golden Eyes Bag
The Golden Eyes was the first bag I unboxed, and it was so much more beautiful in person than I expected. I chose it in Smooth calfskin dolce leather, which has that ultra-sleek finish that feels like quiet luxury.
This style, with two round “eye” grommets on the flap, is worn to be a shoulder bag, but can easily be a crossbody as well by extension of the strap. hence the name. It’s not a flashy bag by any means, but it definitely gets noticed in the best way. The leather of this bag is so high quality, it is almost shocking to me that the price for this piece is under $450.

Fit & Functionality
Surprisingly, it holds more than you’d expect. I can fit my phone, large wallet, lip balm, AirPods, a comb, hand sanitizer, keys, and even a tiny hand cream — all without the bag looking overstuffed.
The magnetic closure is discreet but strong, and I love that the bag is incredibly sturdy, that it doesn’t shift out of shape even when the bag is full.
Style Notes
I’ve styled the Golden Eyes bag with tailored trousers and an off-the-shoulder top for dinner, but also with ballet flats and a trench coat for errands. It elevates everything. There’s something about the symmetry of the “eyes” that makes it feel like a wearable sculpture, and I’m utterly obsessed.
Verdict
If you love bags that are a structurally unique, yet still deeply wearable, the Golden Eyes is a win. It’s definitely a conversation starter without screaming for attention.
Style #2: The Munchkin Bag
Next up, we have the Munchkin Bag, which feels like RSVP’s cheeky little sister. I picked this one in the Grained Calfskin in Dulce, and it is stunning — almost liquid in feeling, with a slight grain finish. This bag is shaped like a little box clutch, with a top handle and two round “eye” grommets on the flap.

Fit & Functionality
It’s definitely the smallest of the three. Think of it as more of an accessory than a functional purse. I can fit my cardholder, lipstick, and keys, and maybe my phone if I go case-less. The size of this bag, hence the name, “Munchkin” is part of the bag’s charm, but also its limitation.
In my opinion, the Munchkin bag works beautifully for events, evenings out, or times when you only need the essentials.
Style Notes
Where the Munchkin really shines is in how it elevates an outfit in the simplest of ways. It’s versatile enough to wear crossbody with wide-leg denim and a tee for a modern chic look, or you can carry it handheld with heels for dinner.
I recently style my Munchkin crossbody with a pair of wide-leg linen trousers, an oversized shirt, and matching sandals for an understated elegant look. It was perfect for exploring the streets of Montreal, where all I really needed was my Gucci cardholder and a pair of sunnies!
Verdict
The Munchkin Bag isn’t meant to be practical, it’s meant to be special. It’s best suited as a statement accessory or an occasional bag rather than a daily carry, but that’s exactly why it works.I see myself bringing this to date nights, weddings, gallery openings, or anywhere I want to feel a little extra without overdoing it.
Style #3: The Batman Bag
Last but definitely not least, we have the Batman Bag, a totally different direction from the first two. While Golden Eyes and Munchkin are playful and compact, the Batman is structured, oversized, and unapologetically bold.
I chose it in the beautiful shade of Tourterelle, a soft taupe-grey that shifts beautifully depending on the light, sometimes warmer, sometimes cooler. It’s a neutral color that works with absolutely everything, yet still feels more interesting than the standard black or beige!

Fit & Functionality
The Batman bag is defined by its winged silhouette, which gives the bag its name. In person, the structure is even more striking — slightly architectural, yet softened by the supple grained leather. The wide, adjustable strap feels substantial and sits comfortably on the shoulder, making it as practical as it is sculptural.
In terms of space, this bag is impressively roomy. It easily fits a phone, wallet, notebook, sunglasses, and even a small water bottle — without ever looking bulky or losing its shape. It’s a rare tote that balances structure with function, and it never feels overwhelming to carry.
Style Notes
What I love most is the versatility. I’ve worn it with denim-on-denim for a casual day, and with tailored trousers and a trench coat, and it elevated both looks in completely different ways. The Batman has that polished, editor-approved silhouette that makes it work in professional settings, yet it’s sleek enough for everyday use.
Verdict
The Batman Bag is the most functional of the three styles I tried, and also one of the most complimented. It’s spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, and it’s the kind of bag that can seamlessly transition from work to weekend. If you’re looking for an RSVP bag that marries statement design with practicality, this is the one.

Final Thoughts: Are RSVP Paris Bags Worth It?
All three styles — the Golden Eyes, Munchkin, and Batman — bring something different to the table. What they have in common is thoughtful design, high-quality materials, and that elusive “cool girl” energy that French brands seem to do so well.
- If you want a sculptural everyday bag: Go for the Golden Eyes.
- If you’re after a statement piece for nights out: The Munchkin is your girl.
- If you need a chic tote for real life: Don’t sleep on the Batman.
