After much hype surrounding this cafe, I finally caved in and decided to try Coffee Dose Cafe in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa. So what’s the verdict? Keep reading to find out!
Coffee Dose Cafe Review
If I’m going to be honest, I definitely thought this cafe was going to be overhyped. I was tempted by the oh-so-clever ‘Anti-bitch serum’ cups which, I figured, if nothing else at least that would be cool to keep as a souvenir.
And while they were out of their seasonal trademark, I did end up opting for the ‘Anti-Grinch serum’ cup, which, in my opinion, cut a really close second.
So, let’s get into the official review! Is Coffee Dose Cafe really worth the hype?
The short answer, yes. It absolutely is. Everything from the moment you walk inside, to the color of the walls, sarcasm-witty filled decals, and a damn BAR, this is truly a cafe that prioritizes putting a smile on your face.
What to Order
I ordered ‘The Goldie’, which consisted of Turmeric, Cinnamon, Vanilla bean syrup, Oat milk and Espresso. It tasted like bliss in a cup and the turmeric and cinnamon just gave it that extra KICK. I was between that the ‘The Beauty’, which is a collagen filled Latte. Um, are you kidding me?
I also got the Honeycomb Ricotta off their Brunch menu and oh. my. god. Dare I say RUN IMMEDIATELY? This dish was a masterpiece in itself. and hats off to whoever the chef who created this menu is because 🤌🏽🤌🏽
Coffee Dose Cafe is an alcohol serving cafe. So, if Espresso Martini’s are your thing, this one is not to be missed!

Show me the Ambiance
The ambiance of this cafe is playful, highly instagrammable, and might I add cheeky. Coffee Dose Cafe is heavy on the vibes and specialize in pushing boundaries. If you’re in for a not-your-typical coffee run, this place is absolutely for you.
I can only speak for the Flagship Costa Mesa location, but there is an ample amount of indoor and outdoor seating, or you can also grab a plush green velvet high bar-stool seat, and enjoy your drink above everybody else! Check out the vibe below.
