Ah, Paris. City of love, fashion capital of the world.
Parisians have this effortless ‘Je ne sais quois’ about them, one that we have been trying to decipher and mimic for years… and thanks to Pinterest and fashion bloggers, we’re now able to mimic that effortless, chic vibe.“
When I moved to France last year, there was no such thing as dressing ‘casually’ aka workout clothes & leggings with a pair of trainers— although, trainers are perfectly acceptable and probably recommended if you’re doing a lot of walking.
Parisians have this effortless ‘Je ne sais quois’ about them, one that we have been trying to decipher and mimic for years… and thanks to Pinterest and fashion bloggers, we’re now able to mimic that effortless, chic vibe.
The lovely thing about French fashion is that it is TIMELESS, which means that it’s not going to change much over the years and is relatively “unaffected” by trends.
Good news for you? Less time researching trends that change faster than Kim K’s husbands, AND a beautiful capsule wardrobe that you don’t have to feel guilty about investing in.
The 6 Best Outfits to Wear in Paris
When you really look at it, the thing that makes the Parisian or French look so effortless, is on the basis that it’s so…simple. Think neutrals, classic pieces such as trenches, button-ups & striped shirts, tailored trousers, a blazer of some sort, and a classic bag. Pair that with some sass & a fringe and you’re good to go.
Because it consists of everyday pieces, it’s likely that you’ll have a few of these pieces in your closet already! And if not, don’t worry. I’ll be linking everything 😍
PSST! Chances are if you’re researching the best outfits to wear in Paris, you’re probably headed to Europe soon! Make sure you’re set for your trip with this Checklist of What to Pack for a Trip to Europe.

Final Thoughts
While I will admit, splurging on my wardrobe and classic pieces wasn’t something I used to prioritize, I now find that it elevates my look in such a refined way.
Instead of rotating out different wardrobes every season, or having to donate clothes once a trend was over, I now find myself having less clothes, but MORE options because of the pieces I’ve invested in. They are so versatile that you can really wear them in most seasons.
Would you wear any of these outfits on your next trip to Paris? If so, which one(s)? Let me know in the comments below.
