M.Gemi

M.Gemi is a female-owned brand, determined to preserve the generational craft of local Italian artisans. Handcrafted in a family workshop, their handbags are made from the finest Italian leathers and thoughtfully designed to wear multiple ways.
This brand recently popped up on my radar, and when I tell you they have the cutest suede handbags at incredible price points!

I also love The Attilia, oh my goodness this one is just so darling. It’s a drapey leather-suede shoulder bag with an oh-so-chic knot on the right corner that fits all of the essentials + more.
The last bag I’ll dote over is the incredible Laura bag, which just so happens to be a convertible backpack. Are you kidding me? It’s available in 8 colors, each one stunning in its own right. The leather looks unbelievably supple, and I love the versatility of this one. It’s the perfect travel or on-the-go bag.

Vestirsi

Let’s talk about a brand that perfectly captures the essence of modern Italian minimalism: Vestirsi. It’s where Italian leather craftsmanship meets Australian laidback luxury… and it’s iconic.
If you’re looking for a handbag that feels both luxurious and incredibly practical, this is a brand you need to know. Vestirsi focuses on creating chic & practical pieces that you’ll reach for every single day.
One of the things I love about this brand is how deeply it’s connected to the founder’s Italian family roots. Every Vestirsi bag is handmade in Upton’s grandparents native Italy, and every bag gives back to empower and protect disadvantaged women and children.
You might have seen Vestirsi being compared to brands like Dragon Diffusion and Bottega Veneta, particularly because they are known for their Woven Backpack tote, which rivals the style of some of these other brands. Vestirsi also makes my list of affordable luxury handbags worth knowing about — so many great options in that range.
To say I’m obsessed with their 2-in-1 convertible backpack tote is an understatement. Here are some pictures and videos of how I styled this bag below! I just love how practical it is, and the fact that I can wear it as a backpack to take the stress off my shoulders after a long day. It’s truly the best!

Some other styles I absolutely adore are the Grace East West Tote, the structure and gold knot closure are everything on this bag. I’m also really loving the Eden Suede Shoulder bag, which is so on trend for this season. For the woman who appreciates practical elegance and style, a Vestirsi bag is the perfect investment.
Price range: $379-$579
Vestirsi bags are best for:
- Woven leather craftsmanship that rivals Bottega Veneta at a fraction of the price
- Convertible, practical designs that work as hard as they look good
Le Parmentier

Another brand I absolutely love and adore. Le Parmentier is a cross between Parisian and Italian fashion. It combines the Parisian design sensibilities with the unmatched quality of Italian production, creating pieces that are both modern and timeless.
Here is what I personally love about Le Parmentier: In a world where shoppers are now consciously looking for more ‘investment pieces’ rather than the renowned luxury design houses, Le Parmentier fills that gap by offering minimalist, forever lasting pieces that will very quickly become your favorite from day one.
The Atlanta and Yucca styles are my two personal favorites from this brand. I just received the Atlanta bag from this brand in the beautiful Camel color, and when I tell you the amount of compliments I get every time I wear this out! The shape and design remind me so much of the Hermès Kelly, and the quality is just unmatched. See my unboxing & initial thoughts below for this lovely brand!
I also have my eye on the Thais satchel bag, I just think it’s incredibly unique and I adore the gold circular minimalist buckle on the front.
Le Parmentier strikes that perfect balance of being on-trend while remaining classic enough to be a wardrobe staple for years. Whether you’re dressing for a client meeting or a weekend brunch, their bags add a touch of effortless polish to any look.
Price range: $300-$375
Le Parmentier bags are best for:
- Parisian-meets-Italian minimalism with structured silhouettes that feel instantly elevated
- Clean, timeless designs that become your most-reached-for bag from day one

A.Soliani

A.Soliani is a brand I recently discovered through Instagram, and immediately fell in love with.
Rooted in three generations of Milanese tannery heritage, this NYC-based brand was born from a family that has spent decades producing leather for some of the world’s most prestigious luxury houses.
They handcraft both leather shoes and handbags, and have a beautiful studio in Brooklyn, NY. Think Italian craftsmanship meets refined New York sensibility in their design.
What I love most about A.Soliani is how quietly elevated their pieces feel. Their crossbody and shoulder bags are crafted from smooth premium leather and luxurious suede, with adjustable straps that let you wear them multiple ways.
I recently purchased the Spiga bag in chocolate croc, and I really do enjoy taking it out for nights when I need a small, but chic bag. It can be worn both as a cross-body and a fanny pack style, which is so crazy but cool! Some other styles I love are the Brera and Brera grande. These shapes are so classic, and perfect to take from work to outings.
If you’re looking for a brand that genuinely earns the phrase “made with love,” A.Soliani is it.
Price range: $238-$388
A.Soliani bags are best for:
- Heritage leather craftsmanship with a quiet, logo-free New York-meets-Milan sensibility

Coccinelle

Alright, let’s talk about a brand adored by fashion enthusiasts everywhere. Coccinelle is an Italian handbag brand that has the chicest shoulder bags for everyday versatility and carrying the essentials.
Based in Parma, Italy, their designs are elegant, cheerful, and full of personality. If you love classic shapes but aren’t afraid of a little color, Coccinelle will be your new favorite. Their handbags are known for their beautiful craftsmanship, fine leathers, and attention to detail.
My favorite style from Coccinelle hands down is the Sabine Small. This is the chicest, most classy and timeless bag I’ve ever laid eyes on. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement. The C-Easy Small is also beautiful, and a perfect everyday bag. I also adore the Myrtha small bag, it’s one of the chicest bags I’ve ever seen, the cylinder?! To die for.
Some of my other favorite pieces are the Sunup Small, I really love how this fits perfectly under your shoulder and follows a comfortable rounded edge. They also have it in a medium & large size.
The brand has a way of making accessories that feel both playful and sophisticated, which is a combination I adore. It’s the perfect brand for adding a touch of Italian charm to your daily life.

Gianni Chiarini

Another brand in the name of quiet luxury, we have Gianni Chiarini. Born in the heart of Florence, this is one of those timeless brands you will have in your closet forever. And If quiet luxury bags are your thing, my full guide to quiet luxury handbags has even more beautiful options.
Gianni Chiarini bags are known for their elegant, practical designs that cater to the modern woman’s everyday needs. From spacious totes perfect for work, to chic shoulder bags for the weekend, their collection is incredibly versatile.
My absolute favorite style from this brand is the Bloom bag. This is genuinely one of the most stunning bags I’ve laid eyes on. My favorite characteristic about this bag is the stitching on the suede. I don’t see that characteristic on many bags, especially suede ones! The Roxy is also amazing, and I love the chevron-like detail on the straps.
Lastly, I adore the Marcella bag in this beautiful caramel shade. Another suede bag, but with this one I love the knot strap detailing. It’s so thoughtful. And OMG the smaller Miss Marcella bag, I can’t get over it! In fact, the “Marcella” tote has become a recognized icon for its simple, functional beauty, really putting Gianni Chiarini on the map.
Price range: $400-$500
Gianni Chiarini bags are best for:
- Florentine quiet luxury with buttery soft leather and thoughtful, refined detailing
- Versatile silhouettes that take you seamlessly from the office to the weekend
ATP Atelier

I recently discovered the brand ATP Atelier, and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement.
Founded in Italy, ATP Atelier creates handbags that are unique, beautiful, and made to last. Their design philosophy is all about clean lines, geometric shapes, and a neutral color palette that is both contemporary and timeless.
Their bags remind me of structured puzzle pieces, with a minimalistic edge. I have never seen such unique bags that use high quality leather and are priced fairly.
This feels like an emerging Italian handbag brand that’s still a bit under the radar. You don’t see these bags everywhere yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the brand takes off in a big way within the next year or two.
I personally adore the Liveri Tahini contrast stitch leather bag. It is SO practical and can be worn everyday with so many different outfits. The Merlara bag is stunning, and is the perfect chic workbag. I love that she’s large enough to hold your laptop and other essential items. Speaking of work bags, I also rounded up the best bags for the office if that’s what you’re shopping for.
They also have some gorgeous suede bags, which is really in right now, especially in the slouchy style!
Price range: $470-$790
ATP Atelier bags are best for:
- Geometric, sculptural designs with a minimalist edge that feels completely one-of-a-kind
- High quality Italian leather at price points that make you do a double-take
Elleme

If you’ve been around C&C for a while, you know that Elleme is one of my go-to brands for chic, elevated handbags that are made from the highest quality leathers.
Designed in Paris and handcrafted in Italy, Elleme sits at that perfect intersection of Parisian cool and Italian craftsmanship. What I love most about Elleme is how different their designs actually look and feel. They are not your standard structured totes or boxy shoulder bags.
Elleme leans into sculptural, unexpected shapes that feel very original without ever tipping into costume-y territory. Their signature textures — suede, woven leather, and shearling — are very tactile and rich, and the neutral color ways (think taupe, brownie, dark brown, black) make every piece feel wearable, season after season.
Their most iconic style, and one that I own, is the Boomerang bag. This is one of my most complimented bags in my collection. The curved, crescent-inspired silhouette is like nothing else on the market, and it goes with everything. I have this style in the Small Boomerang in Suede Brownie, and also love the Woven Leather versions, which are stunning in person.
The Trousse woven leather bag is another one that I own, and constantly get asked where my bag is from, of if it’s Bottega! It is a sleek, elongated shoulder bag with a double clean zip closure that is both modern and timeless. And if you love texture, the Dimple collection is worth a long look.
Elleme is the brand for the woman who is done with logos and basics, and is ready for something that feels more artful.
Price range: $430-$620
Elleme bags are best for:
- Sculptural, Paris-designed bags with Italian-made craftsmanship and no logos in sight
- Women who want something genuinely unique that still feels effortlessly wearable every day
Borbonese

Borbonese is an Italian handbag brand I’ve only come to discover as of recent. It is one of Italy’s most storied accessories brands, and if you don’t know them yet, consider this your introduction as well.
Founded in Turin in 1910, this century-old brand (!!) is universally recognized for their iconic Occhio di Pernice (or Eye of Partridge) print, which has been their signature since the 1960s.
What I love most about Borbonese is how effortlessly they balance heritage with a modern sensibility. I really love their classic OP suede pieces, which feel like a nod to golden-age Italian elegance. Some of my favorite styles include the London Hobo Bag Medium in the gorgeous Grigio suede. I also adore their daily essentials collection, particularly the Prive Shopping Bag Large in Mud.
Other styles I’m completely obsessed with are the more contemporary silhouettes, like the Collier Hobo Bag Medium, which has these insane logo carabiners, and the Premiere. Borbonese is proof that true Italian style doesn’t need a four-figure price tag to make an impression!
Price range: $300-$600
Borbonese bags are best for:
- Their iconic Eye of Partridge print, which is both understated and instantly recognizable
- Women who want a piece of Italian fashion history that still feels fresh and thoroughly modern
Madbag

Madbag Italy might be newer to the scene, but they’ve already mastered the art of creating timeless, beautifully crafted handbags. Designed and made in Tuscany, their bags are all about clean lines, premium materials, and that effortless Italian elegance we all love.
Oh, and they recently opened a boutique in Soho! I’ve been dying to check it out and will report back when I do.
I’m especially drawn to the Bellucci in Leather, which is the perfect structured work bag that can elevate any outfit. The Bassotto in Leather Croc is another standout, with its arch silhouette that feels refined and luxurious. It also happens to be one of their bestsellers! Then there’s the Loren bag, which gives me such Polène Cyme energy! It has a beautiful, equestrian-like sculptural quality that I absolutely adore. No wonder it’s always sold out.
Every piece from Madbag feels like a little slice of Tuscany, crafted with care and designed to be a wardrobe staple for years to come.
Price range: $260-$560
Madbag Italia is best for:
- Tuscan-made craftsmanship with clean, architectural lines and a downtown-cool aesthetic

Voemien

Voemien is a new recent favorite of mine at the moment, and I’m so glad to have discovered this brand.
We all know I don’t gatekeep here, and that’s why I’m so excited to introduce you to this brand. Voemien is a true hidden gem in the Italian handbag world, crafting pieces that feel like wearable art. Their designs are inspired by sculptural forms and nature, resulting in unconventional shapes with beautiful attention to detail. Their prices fall between $535-$830, so definitely on the higher end of this list.
My absolute favorite style by this brand is the Bamboo babe bag in the dark brown color way. This bag has everything I love in it, from the slightly slouch shape to the mix of suede & calfskin leathers, to the gold hardware… it is just perfect. I also find the Chloe bag to be absolutely timeless in its more square shape, and the gold horsebit handle is beautiful.
Voemian bags are conversation starters and pieces that you’ll treasure forever for their beauty and originality.
Price range: $535-$830
Voemien bags are best for:
- Nature-inspired sculptural forms and mixed leather textures that feel like wearable art
- Unconventional, conversation-starting designs you won’t find anywhere else
Milaner Italia

Milaner is all about bringing the work of Italy’s finest artisans directly to you. The brand partners with small, family-owned workshops across Italy (we love that!) to create timeless accessories.
I love the story behind Milaner, to me it feels like a brand with heart. Firstly, it is a women-founded brand, which, as a founder myself, I appreciate beyond measure. Their mission is to heal the growing disconnect amongst artisans, brands and customers, and to return to authenticity and sustainable practices.
One of their most iconic pieces, The Elena Handbag, is a perfect example of their ethos: a classic, structured bag that is beautifully made and incredibly chic.
Owning one of their bags feels like you’re part of that tradition. The quality is so apparent, from the rich leathers they use to the polished hardware. It’s a brand that truly embodies the “buy less, buy better” philosophy.
Price range: $495-$695
Milaner Italia bags are best for:
- Small-batch Italian artisan craftsmanship with a genuine commitment to sustainability
- Timeless, structured pieces that embody the “buy less, buy better” philosophy
Cuoieria Fiorentina

With roots in Florence dating back to the 1970s, Cuoieria Fiorentina is a family-run business that embodies Tuscan leather artistry. “Cuoieria” translates to “leather shop,” and this brand is a master of its craft.
Their bags have a classic, almost vintage feel to them, with designs that are built to last a lifetime. I love the Candy Bucket Bag style from this brand so much, it’s just such a classic bag that will never go out of style! I’m also borderline obsessed with this tote bag from the Mimì collection. A leather bag embossed with flowers and a rope handle… are you kidding me? This is a wishlist item, for sure.

Their collection ranges from doctor bags and briefcases to stylish bucket bags and crossbodies, all made with durable, vegetable-tanned leather. This is the kind of bag that gets better with age, developing a rich patina that tells a story.
If you appreciate heritage, quality, and a design that will never go out of style, Cuoieria Fiorentina is a brand you must explore.
Price range: $315-$670
Cuoieria Fiorentina bags are best for:
- Florentine heritage vegetable-tanned leather that develops a beautiful patina over time

Arcadia Bags

Then, we have Arcadia handbags. For over 40 years, Arcadia has been creating high-quality leather handbags from its headquarters in the heart of Italy. This brand is known for its blend of traditional techniques and innovative design.
I really love the unconventional structure & shape of their bags. I’m always in awe by bags that look more like art than a traditional handbag, and Arcadia manages to capture that essence perfectly. Some of my personal favorites are the Töe Large Top Handle, I think the ruched sides and large gold hardware clasp piece are stunning.
I’m also obsessed with the Future Tote, my gosh I’ve never seen a bag like this in my life! The multi-layer flaps are so interesting to me, and I reckon you can put items in both flap layers! Just such a cool bag.

Arcadia bags are designed for the confident, stylish woman who needs her accessories to be as unique as they are beautiful.
Price range: $350-$450
Arcadia bags are known for:
- Sculptural, avant-garde designs that look more like art than a traditional handbag

Lara Bellini

If you’ve ever wanted a bag that feels like wearable architecture, Lara Bellini is another Italian handbag brand you need to know.
Founded in Milan in 2017 by designer Lara Bellini and her husband, this brand is built around the intersection of fashion and geometric design, and it shows in all of their pieces. Every bag is 100% handcrafted in Milan using traceable, ethically sourced Italian leather from LWG-certified tanneries.
What I love most about Lara Bellini is the visual boldness of their designs. Think clean sculptural shapes, striking cuts and proportions, and a harmonious use of contrasting color. The brand’s iconic double “L” and “B” emblem is subtle and refined.
The Liz Flap Mini is the most architecturally unique silhouette I’ve ever seen, and the design is equal parts compact, structured, and beautifully detailed. It is one of their most coveted designs, and it’s very easy to see why. Other styles I am loving are the Vela Mini Cocco and the Flip Pochette.
I can promise you that Lara Bellini is a hidden gem Italian handbag brand that won’t stay hidden for long.
Price range: $700-$1000
Lara Bellini bags are best for:
- These are pieces designed for women who want their accessories to say something.
- Women who love bold, geometric silhouettes crafted with sustainable, traceable Italian leather
FRP Collection

Finally, we have FRP Collection — a brand with a story that makes you fall in love before you’ve even seen the bags. (And trust me, you’ll fall harder once you do see the bags).
Founded in Rome in 2021 by Francesca Romana Palermo, the brand was born from a deeply personal place. Her grandmother Maria, an expert knitter and crocheter, passed down her knowledge of handcraft to Francesca from a young age. After years working for luxury leather goods houses, Francesca came back to that childhood art and combined the two worlds: soft-grained calfskin leather and handwoven raffia crochet, all crafted by Italian master artisans.
Every Arcadia piece is made to order in limited quantities, and I would define their bags as priced within the accessible luxury range.
What makes FRP Collection so special is how one-of-a-kind each piece feels. These aren’t your classic structured Italian leather bags. They’re textural, playful, and very distinctive, with beautiful color options like teal, lilac, and warm neutrals.
The Emma bucket bag and the Maddalena basket bag are two standout styles that I love. They are perfect for everything from weekend markets to summer dinners. If you love the idea of carrying something truly handmade, FRP Collection is the brand to know.
Price range: $486-$1000
FRP Collection bags are for:
- Handmade, one-of-a-kind Italian bags combining calfskin leather with handwoven raffia crochet
- Women who want something artisanal and textural that no one else will be carrying
